1 - Am I required to purchase auto insurance when I rent my vehicle?

No, all our cars are properly insured with full coverage and road assisance.

2 - Its road assistance included in my insured rental car?

Yes, the tow service is good and free of charge for up to 100km around Merida City, including Izamal, Progreso,Telchac, etc.

3 - In case of break-down,how should I proceed?

A built-in GPS will provide your exact location...A Mayan Drive representative will visit you and deliver a substitute car free of charge. No need to call the insurance or local transit department, give us a call and we will take care of eveything.

4 - How much of a deposit is placed on a credit/debit card when the car is picked-up?

A hold will be placed on your credit/debit card for the equivalent amount of the deductible (10% value of the car). We will remove the hold at the end of the rental period prior a quick car inspection. The amount put on-hold goes from $12,000 to $18,000 pesos depends on vehicle year and type.

5 - What should I do in case of a driving emergency or car accident?

Please rely on us first so we can take care of it. If you, the renter, are involved in an accident, the local police and the insurance company must be contacted by a MayanDrive representative.
